Whether you are feeling lost in yourself and your feelings, lacking energy, perhaps suffering from anxiety or low self-esteem and need help or guidance to get yourself back on track – my self-care package can help you realign with your goals, get some self-care back into your life and find out who you truly are. In our busy lives we tend to care for others first and neglect ourselves. Forever pushing ourselves when we are tired, grabbing a snack or take away as we are exhausted from work and not taking any 'me time' so we can recharge our batteries. It's often at this point we realize we need to take a step back, and try and find that balance in our life but not sure where to start – that’s where I come in.
My journey began 14 years ago, when I similarly found myself struggling to function, I was suffering from anxiety, lost sight of who I was which manifested itself into an eating disorder. Whether I knew it or not then, I began to turn my life around with CBT for my eating disorder and several years later, getting out of the coroporate world and embarking on life coaching. I learned how to change my mindset, with journaling, self-care, meditative therapy and the wonderful immersive world of creating collages and vision borads. This has inspired me to become the person I am today.
I approach my self-care coaching with a preliminary questionnaire used to identify your goals and dreams. Looking at positive and negative areas in your life where you specifically want change. Self-care coaching incorporates many things, like eating well, exercise, getting enough sleep but it's also about giving yourself some self-compassion, self-love and empowering yourself by taking back control of your life. I question thought patterns that have become embedded but no longer work and look at new ways of doing things. I will encourage you to take time for yourself and that it's 'OK' to do this, it's 'OK' to say no, and it's 'OK' to treat yourself. Once you realize these things are all possible, relationships, self-esteem and self-confidence have been shown to improve.
Within my self-care package you will create a collage. This is a wonderful tool that is immersive, fun and gives you the opportunity to delve into your unconscious thoughts and gain a better understanding of yourself. Images have a way of condensing an emotion or feeling and can speak to us in ways we woud often find difficult to communicate. It becomes a visual aid for motivation and inspiration. Images stimulate the brain and bring forth ongoing change in the direction we want to go. In doing this, you are then able to bring these thoughts to the forefront of your mind which helps deal with any blockages so you can move forward.
My Vision Board package is all about creating meaningful goals, whether that's wanting to be more healthy in mind, body and spirit, have specific action plans or just curious about vision boards and how they can help with motivation and inspiration. This is a great way of introducing coaching in just 2 sessions and for those that don't have the time required for the full self care package.
